Participant in The Run 2016

There are few centres of learning today that examine the question - “What is the purpose of Education?” with sufficient seriousness and reflection. A place which has made it its endeavour to explore the centrality of this question to one’s life must surely be allowed to continue its work.

Being part of The School has given me the opportunity to work with children, adults and quite importantly, myself, as we go about striving for understanding, meaning and perhaps, purpose in our respective journeys.

Running for me, in many ways has also been part of the reflective process. While allowing me to constantly challenge my perceptions of my limitations or capabilities, it has also helped me experience motivation, pain, pleasure and satisfaction.

I feel fortunate that I can weave together these two aspects of my life and run the 10K at The Wipro Chennai Marathon on Sunday, January 8th, 2017 to raise funds for the relocation of The School, KFI.

The school has to now leave its existing verdant campus where it has functioned from for well over 35 years and move to Thazhambur, on the outskirts of Chennai. Your contribution will ensure that the school can continue its work from this new location with the same depth, sensitivity and humaneness as it has always done.
