Participant in The Run 2016

Dear Friends,

We are both running the Wipro Chennai marathon this year to raise awareness and funds for the construction of a new campus for The School-KFI. The School – KFI was founded by philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti and is a beacon of progressive, alternative education in Chennai. The school has pioneered several innovative educational methodologies, such as Activity Based Learning, which it has readily shared with the outside world. The School-KFI is also a socially inclusive school which provides subsidized education for students who require financial support.

Sadly, The School-KFI has been asked to vacate its current campus in Adyar, Chennai. Being a not-for-profit organization, The School-KFI is now faced with the challenge of raising funds for purchasing new property and constructing a new campus.

The campus, designed by our team Green Evolution is envisioned as a rustic, creative learning environment blending into natural vegetation and a lot of Art! The School's way of education has always been to encourage students to learn amidst, and from nature and not be confined to the indoors. The design has tried to capture this concept by creating multiple smaller buildings winding themselves through trees and outdoor plazas. The buildings have been designed to be cost effective as well as environmentally sustainable.

As long-time parents of the school and also as the architects for the new campus, we are both running the Wipro Chennai marathon to help the school meet its funding requirements. We hope that you will support our run and help The School-KFI successfully move to its new home.
