Padma Venkatraman's Writing Workshop:
A Fundraiser

Dr. Padma Venkatraman was one of the first students to join The School KFI, and was part of the (original) first batch to graduate. In her early years, her creative writing was encouraged by Prema Srinivasan, Padma Santhanam, Pama Patwardhan, Chinna Oomen, Kalyana Lakshmi and Ahalya Chari.

Later, she spent time at Brockwood Park School in England, where she was encouraged by Scott Forbes and mentored by Stephen Smith who believed her work would surely win international recognition. She returned to the United Kingdom to direct Inwoods School in its formative years before completing her doctoral degree in oceanography in the United States.

She well remembers The School KFI’s move from Poes Garden to Damodar Gardens and is delighted to contribute her time to help with this new campus relocation.

Padma is offering two writing workshops as fundraisers for the school's relocation. Details are available alongside.
